Overview
Founded in 1993 by Jean Tran Thanh Van, the association Rencontres du Vietnam, a non-profit organization and an official partner of UNESCO, has as its objective the promotion of international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the areas of science and education. It also aims at the encouragement and integration of Vietnamese scientists into the international scientific community and at supporting the role of education and science by encouraging scientific awareness and stimulating passion for science in the younger generation. The Rencontres du Vietnam lies within the scope of two series of scientific meetings created by Jean Tran Thanh Van : the Rencontres de Moriond in 1966 and the Rencontres de Blois in 1989.
The creation of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) has the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education by fostering exchanges between Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.

"The 4th International Vietnam Conference on Earth and Environmental Sciences (iVCEES-2024)"

We are pleased to invite you to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation at the 4th “International Vietnam Conference on Earth and Environmental Sciences” (iVCEES-2024). The iVCEES-2024 will be held from November 26 to November 29, 2024 at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon, Vietnam.
The iVCEES aims to be a premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators to share and discuss the latest findings, trends, challenges, and advancements in the fields of Earth and Environmental Sciences. English is the official language for all communications.
This year, the suggested topics for abstract submission include (but are not limited to):
- S1: Solid Earth Sciences (e.g., geology, tectonics, geophysics, geo-engineering, resources)
- S2: Atmospheric Sciences
- S3: Aquatic Sciences (e.g., wetlands, freshwater and marine systems, hydrology, oceanography)
- S4: Environment and Sustainable Development (e.g., plastic, pollution, treatment technology, environmental health, geo-enviroment.)
- S5: Emerging technologies in Earth & Environmental Sciences (e.g, AI, Big Data, remote sensing)
- S6: Interdisciplinary Earth Sciences (e.g., climate change, policy) Special Sessions:
- S7: CARE for SEA Megacities and CORDEX-SEA
- S8: Contaminants of Emerging Concern (CECs) in environment
