Overview
Founded in 1993 by Jean Tran Thanh Van, the association Rencontres du Vietnam, a non-profit organization and an official partner of UNESCO, has as its objective the promotion of international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the areas of science and education. It also aims at the encouragement and integration of Vietnamese scientists into the international scientific community and at supporting the role of education and science by encouraging scientific awareness and stimulating passion for science in the younger generation. The Rencontres du Vietnam lies within the scope of two series of scientific meetings created by Jean Tran Thanh Van : the Rencontres de Moriond in 1966 and the Rencontres de Blois in 1989.
The creation of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) has the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education by fostering exchanges between Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.

"The Third International Symposium of Nano Life Science: Nano Biotechnology, Biophysics, Computation (NanoBioCoM2025)"
September 17-19, 2025, ICISE, Quy Nhon, Vietnam
After the success of NanoBioCoM2023 and NanoBioCoM2024, NanoBioCoM2025 will be continued and mainly focused on basic and applied studies related to Nano Biotechnology, Biophysics, Computation for tackling the current problems in life sciences. The findings presented at this event provide participants with a clear insight into new approaches and research trends that may be employed and applied in broad fields of Nano Life Sciences. This event will be held at the International Center for Science and Interdisciplinary Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh province Vietnam.
Biophysics is a rapidly emerging interdisciplinary field that integrates concepts and methods from physics and biology to explore the physical aspects of biological systems. The primary objective of biophysics is to comprehend the underlying physical mechanisms and principles that regulate the structures, functions, and dynamic behaviors of biological molecules, cells, tissues, and organisms. Resolving discrepancies between single molecule experiments and ensemble averaged experiments is fundamentally important in the realm of nano life sciences. The goal of this Symposium is to provide a wide range of experimental and computational methodologies relevant to modern nano-life sciences that can comment on these distinctions.
Vietnam, a developing country with a population of nearly 100 million people, is actively pursuing research programs within the nano life sciences including nano biotechnology (including nanomedicine, biomolecular nanosystems, nanobiohybrids, nanosized biostructures, nano-based biosensors, FRET, FLIM), biophysics (including AFM, HS-AFM, FM-AFM, SICM, TEM, SEM, Cryo-ET, Time-resolved Cryo-EM, NMR, optical microscopies (TIRFM, Confocal Microscopy, STED, PALM, STORM), and computation and deep-learning (including Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations, Coarse-grained mesoscopic simulations, Normal Mode Analysis (NMA), QUAN-AFM, DeepAFM, AFM-ML, AFMfit, AFMnanoQ, Cryo-EM fit, CryoDRGN, 3DVA (RELION), DeepEM, crYOLO, DeepPicker, Noise2Noise, CNNs, U-Net, DeepImageJ, Deep-STORM, DeepLoco, ANNA-PALM). This conference will be used to further stimulate these research projects by bringing a variety of experts from both Vietnam and around the world to provide structured talks on nano life sciences topics. The invited speaker's talks are structured so that they offer both teaching and research training opportunities. The first part of each lecture is designed to provide background and history on the lecture topic at a teaching level appropriate for an advanced postgraduate course or professional scientist. The second half of each talk will include a presentation of the scientist's own work within the context of the research area. The keynote and invited speakers' lectures will be supplemented by up to 100 poster and short talk presentations from members of the Vietnamese Biophysical Society (https://vietbiophysics.vn/), Microscopy Society of Vietnam (www.capsm.org/member-societies/vietnam/), Vietnamese Physics Society, Vietnamese Theoretical Physics Society, and Nano Life Science Community.
The symposium aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for all delegates to present their research results, to share experiences, and to discuss the most recent innovations, trends and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the field of Nano Biotechnology, Biophysics, and Computation. This symposium is also a chance for all delegates to maintain the existing and initiate new multidisciplinary collaborative networks.
We cordially invite you to join Rencontres du Vietnam: The Third International Symposium of Nano Life Science: Nano Biotechnology, Biophysics, Computation (NanoBioCoM2025) at ICISE, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh on 17-19 September, 2025. ICISE center, located by the sea and surrounded by mountains, about 6 km from the city of Quy Nhon. The symposium hall is equipped with a video projector, whiteboard, audio system, and wireless connection. ICISE is a lovely, peaceful campus with coconut trees and a stunning coastline.
