International Conference on Library, Information Science and Scholarly Publishing

Founded in 1993 by Jean Tran Thanh Van, the association Rencontres du Vietnam, a non-profit organization and an official partner of UNESCO, has as its objective the promotion of international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the areas of science and education. It also aims at the encouragement and integration of Vietnamese scientists into the international scientific community and at supporting the role of education and science by encouraging scientific awareness and stimulating passion for science in the younger generation. The Rencontres du Vietnam lies within the scope of two series of scientific meetings created by Jean Tran Thanh Van : the Rencontres de Moriond in 1966 and the Rencontres de Blois in 1989.

The creation of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) has the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education by fostering exchanges between Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.

International Conference on Library, Information Science and Scholarly Publishing in Vietnam (ICLISSP2025) is a scientific event organized at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE). The content of the ICLISSP2025 conference will focus mainly on various aspects related to information technology and digital libraries, open science, electronic publishing, and user services in the digital era. The conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for all delegates in the fields of information, libraries, and publishing to present research findings, share experiences, and discuss recent innovations, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges faced and the solutions implemented in this field. This event also provides an opportunity for all delegates to maintain existing interdisciplinary collaboration networks and initiate new ones, aiming to assess the current situation and development trends in the industry, meet the demands for information sharing, promote innovation, training, and capacity building, as well as establish standards and policies for the sector, moving towards integration with the research communities in information science, libraries, and scholarly publishing in the region and the world. The conference serves as a platform for policy-makers, managers, Vietnamese scientists, graduate students, and researchers to engage, seek opportunities, and learn from experiences to enhance their professional skills and develop their careers in the future.

We cordially invite you to join The First Rencontres de Quy Nhon: International Conference on Library -Information Science and Scholarly Publishing (ICLISSP2025) with the theme: Building Tomorrow’s Libraries: Global Perspectives on Academic Library Transformation and Scholarly Publishing at ICISE, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, Vietnam on August 20-22, 2025 . ICISE center, located by the sea and surrounded by mountains, is about 6km from the city of Quy Nhon. The symposium hall is equipped with a video projector, a blackboard, an audio system, and a wireless connection. ICISE has a nice, quiet campus with coconut trees and a beautiful beach.
