Overview
Welcome to the conference Rencontres du Vietnam on Soft Matter, Fluids, Interfaces. The conference will take place at the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE), a unique science and education institution located in the coastal city of Quy Nhon, Vietnam. ICISE was built with an ambitious objective focusing on developing science and education, as well as bringing opportunities to accelerate knowledge of young scientists by providing a platform for exchanging ideas with colleagues from other parts of the world.
The creation of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) has the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education by fostering exchanges between Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.
The conference is among a series of scientific meetings and events organised by the Rencontres du Vietnam, a non-profit organization founded in 1993 by Jean Tran Thanh Van and an official partner of UNESCO. Its objective is the promotion of international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the areas of science and education. It also aims at encouraging integration of Vietnamese scientists into the international scientific community, as well as nurturing passion for science in younger generations. The Rencontres du Vietnam is at the intersection of two series of scientific meetings created by Jean Tran Thanh Van: the Rencontres de Moriond in 1966 and the Rencontres de Blois in 1989.
The conference will focus on recent advances in the following main topics:
- Active, Biological, Living Matter
- Self-assembly
- Granular Materials
- Multiphase and Complex Flows
- Interfaces
- Nano-Microscales Surface Modifications
