Rencontres du Vietnam: The first International Symposium of Nano Life Science:

Nano Biotechnology, Biosensor, Computation (NanoBioCoM2023)

September 17-19, 2023, ICISE, Quy Nhon, Vietnam

deadline August 15th, 2023

Overview

Founded in 1993 by Jean Tran Thanh Van, the association Rencontres du Vietnam, a non-profit organization and an official partner of UNESCO, has as its objective the promotion of international exchanges between Vietnam and the international community, particularly in the areas of science and education. It also aims at the encouragement and integration of Vietnamese scientists into the international scientific community and at supporting the role of education and science by encouraging scientific awareness and stimulating passion for science in the younger generation. The Rencontres du Vietnam lies within the scope of two series of scientific meetings created by Jean Tran Thanh Van : the Rencontres de Moriond in 1966 and the Rencontres de Blois in 1989.

The creation of the International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science Education (ICISE) in the city of Quy Nhon (Central Vietnam) has the ambitious objective to focus on developing Science and Education by fostering exchanges between Asia-Pacific scientists and colleagues from other parts of the world.

XIXth Rencontres du Vietnam

The First International Symposium of Nano Life Science: Nano Biotechnology, Biosensor, Computation (NanoBioCoM2023)
September 17-19, 2023, ICISE, Quy Nhon, Vietnam

Rencontres du Vietnam: The first International Symposium of Nano Life Science: Nano Biotechnology, Biosensor, Computation (NanoBioCoM2023) will mainly focused on basic and applied studies related to Nano Biotechnology, Biosensor, Computation for tackling the current problems in life sciences. The studies presented at this event provide participants a brilliant insight into new techniques and research trends that can be used and applied in Nano Life Sciences. This event will be held at the International Center for Science and Interdisciplinary Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh province Vietnam.

Resolving differences between single molecule experiments and ensemble averaged experiments has fundamental importance in the area of the nano life sciences. The aim of this workshop is to introduce a wide range of experimental and computational methods relevant to modern nano life science that are able to comment on these differences. Vietnam, a developing country of nearly 100 million people, is actively creating research programs within the nano life sciences including nano biotechnology (HS-AFM, FM-AFM, SICM), biosensor (color, heat, chemical), and deep machine learning. This symposium event will be used to further stimulate these research programs by inviting a range of experts from both within Vietnam, and the near Asia region, to give structured talks on nano life science topics. The described computational methods will range from coarse-grained simulation to molecular dynamic approaches. The format of the invited speaker’s talks is to be structured such that they offer both training and research opportunities. The first half of each lecture is meant to cover the background and history of the lecture topic at a teaching level suitable for an advanced postgraduate course/professional scientist level. The second half of each talk will involve a presentation of the scientist’s own work within the context of the field covered. The lectures given by the keynote and invited speakers will be supported by up to 100 poster and short talk presentations from members of the Vietnamese nano life science community. Approximately eight months after the event, individual keynote and invited speakers will be asked to contribute a 3 to 10-page review article on the background subject of their lecture and these will be published within a Special Issue of the IUPAB journal ‘Biophysical Reviews’ under the thematic title of ‘IUPAB International Symposium of Nano Life Science – Focus on Scientific Society of Vietnam’. The symposium aims to provide an interdisciplinary platform for all delegates to present research results, to share experiences, and to discuss the most recent innovations, trends and concerns as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the field of Nano Biotechnology, Biosensor, and Computation. This symposium is also a chance for all delegates to maintain the existing and initiate new multidisciplinary collaborative networks.

We cordially invite you to join Rencontres du Vietnam: The first International Symposium of Nano Life Science: Nano Biotechnology, Biosensor, Computation (NanoBioCoM2023) at ICISE, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh on 17-19 September, 2023. ICISE center, located by the sea and surrounded by mountains, about 6km from the city of Quy Nhon. The symposium hall is equipped with a video projector, a blackboard, audio system, wireless connection. ICISE has a nice, quiet campus with coconut trees and a beautiful beach.
